NEW YORK, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brixmor Property Group announced recent opening and lease executions of four rue21 locations across the Brixmor portfolio. Brixmor, with its strong national platform, has been focused on working with well-known national retailers to expand their store count within the Brixmor portfolio of centers, thereby enhancing the retailer mix at its centers.
The new locations with rue21 are as follows:
- A 4,633 square foot store recently opened at Five Points, located on the northwest corner of Five Points Road (Highway 77) and Northwest Boulevard (Route 624) in Corpus Christi, TX.
- A lease was executed for a 5,800 square foot location at Tinley Park, located 4 miles north of Interstate 80 West from exit 148B, on the southeast corner of Harlem Avenue (Route 43) and West 159th Street (Highway 6) in Tinley Park, IL.
- A lease was executed for a 5,066 square foot location at Hillcrest Shopping Center, located southeast of the Interstate 585 and Interstate 85 junction, on the northeast corner of Main Street (Route 29) and Fernwood Glendale Road in Spartanburg, SC.
- A lease was executed for a 4,800 square foot location at Congress Crossing, located on Decatur Pike (Route 30) and the northwest corner of Congress Parkway (Highway 11) in Athens, TN.
Brixmor now has 16 shopping centers with rue21, encompassing 83,388 square feet as follows: two locations in New Jersey totaling 11,700 square feet, two locations in Georgia totaling 10,800 square feet, two locations in Texas totaling 9,633 square feet, three locations in Tennessee totaling 14,375 square feet, and one location in the following states: Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Carolina.
