BroadbandOne powers reliable broadband to the oil and gas corridor, enabling rapid network deployment for sites that frequently shift operations across large areas.
LAKE CHARLES, La., Sept. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadband One, Inc., doing business as BroadbandOne® (BB1), a leader in wireless network innovation and a pioneer in the deployment of Telco as a Service (TaaS) solutions, today announced its strategic partnership with FulAir Wireless Internet to deliver high-performance fixed wireless connectivity throughout Lake Charles, La. and the surrounding Gulf Coast oil and gas region. This collaboration will bring reliable, interference-free broadband to some of the most infrastructure-challenged industrial environments in the U.S.
FulAir, a trusted local provider serving high speed internet to residential and business customers in southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas, has long focused on closing connectivity gaps for underserved and hard-to-reach communities. Now, in partnership with BroadbandOne, FulAir will extend that commitment to the region's fast-growing oil and gas (O&G) sector, including the Venture Global LNG terminal and surrounding industrial facilities.
Purpose-Built Connectivity for Mission-Critical Operations
BroadbandOne will deploy its licensed mmWave spectrum and Telco-as-a-Service (TaaS) model via a combination of BB1 and FulAir-owned tower assets to deliver high-throughput, low-latency enterprise-grade broadband across construction-intense and fiber-unfriendly terrain. This architecture provides superior broadband speeds at a lower latency than the other traditional technology options often deployed today, providing a stable backbone for telemetry, safety systems, environmental monitoring and remote operational controls.
Assets and equipment are already in place, with engineering and propagation studies complete. The network is scheduled to be fully activated within a week.
"Connectivity has always been the missing piece for critical infrastructure operations in this region," said Eric Watko, CEO of BroadbandOne. "By pairing our licensed spectrum wireless broadband and TaaS model with FulAir's local presence and trusted reputation, we can give O&G operators the secure, high-availability network they need to safely and efficiently drive their operations forward."
The deployment will be backed by BroadbandOne's high-availability SLA, with Layer 2 handoffs enabling FulAir to deliver managed services directly to customers. The solution will cut the need for local operators to build their own networks while improving uptime, latency and operational safety. It will also be fully scalable to additional terminals, field operations and remote industrial installations over time.
"Our customers have long needed an option that could deliver true reliability without the cost and delays of trenching fiber," said Perry Vincent, Owner of FulAir Wireless Internet. "Partnering with BroadbandOne allows us to deliver just that — an enterprise-grade service built for the realities of the industrial field, with the speed and support our customers deserve."
BroadbandOne's TaaS approach enables regional partners like FulAir to launch and scale internet services with greater speed and flexibility for customers in hard-to-connect areas like Lake Charles.
"Reliable, high-speed communications are essential for both the industry and the surrounding communities," Watko added. "This deployment will not just connect businesses, it will help fuel economic growth across the region."
