Brock Lesnar Victorious in the 'Biggest Fight in UFC History'

MINONG, Wis., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Brock Lesnar defeated Shane Carwin in the Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC) 116 Heavyweight Championship Match on Saturday, July 3, 2010. Held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, UFC 116 was billed as the biggest fight in UFC history and marked Lesnar's long-awaited return to the Octagon™.

In front of a chaotic sold-out crowd, Lesnar took multiple blows from Carwin throughout the first round. Lesnar was recharged for the second round, sealing his victory with Carwin tapping out, turning this year's most anticipated Octagon matchup into a history-making bout. Both Lesnar and Carwin had something to prove, and neither one of them left anything on the mat.

In defeating Carwin, Lesnar's mixed martial arts record is now an impressive 5-1-0.
