GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rick Genovese, executive vice president of CIBER North America, announced that Bruce Douglas is joining CIBER in the role of senior vice president, sales and business development. A veteran of both Oracle and Sun services businesses, as well as an entrepreneur who founded and sold high-end consulting businesses, Douglas will lead CIBER's efforts in business development throughout North America. His responsibilities include oversight of strategic accounts, sales operations, sales support, alliances and CIBER's vertical industry approach to the North American marketplace.

Previously, Douglas was vice president of advanced customer support at Oracle, a company he joined in early 2010 as a result of the Sun acquisition. Prior to the acquisition, Douglas was vice president, global professional services at Sun Microsystems, Inc., where his team provided solutions based on Sun's storage, systems, and software product lines to customers around the world. At Sun, Douglas managed a $1 billion global business unit that operating in 160 countries with more than 1,700 employees and 5,000 partner resources.
Prior to joining Sun, Douglas was the co-founder, president and CEO of Neogent, where he brought together a seasoned team of experts and drove Neogent's successful growth. Neogent was sold to Sun in October 2006. Before founding Neogent, Douglas spent many years bringing together unique and successful teams of people in combination with value-based emerging technologies, ultimately generating extremely profitable companies, including The Fourth Tier, which was an emerging customer relationship company that was later sold to Keane, Inc. in 1997.
