Bruegger's Bagels to Open in Expanded Mall of America

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruegger's Bagels, known for its freshly baked, authentic New York-style bagels, fresh ingredients and signature coffees, will open this week in Mall of America as part of the first phase of the mall's massive $2 billion expansion.

With more than 300 locations nationally and almost 40 locations in Minnesota, this is Bruegger's Bagels' first bakery-cafe in an indoor mall in Minnesota. It will be located on Level 3, South near the new Radisson Blu Hotel.

The Mall of America opening marks another step in Bruegger's Bagels' effort to expand into non-traditional venues, such as airports, colleges and hospitals. In the past five years, the chain has added locations to serve tourists and business travelers in several major airports, members of the armed services at Naval Base San Diego and, most recently, students and faculty at the award-winning dining facility at Virginia Tech.

While the location is unique for Bruegger's Bagels, Mall of America guests will be treated to the brand's time-tested favorites - fresh, authentic New York-style bagels that are kettle-boiled then baked in small batches all day. Guests can choose from more than 20 different kinds of bagels topped with a variety of cold-packed, 100 percent made-in-Vermont cream cheese flavors, or select from the bakery's full menu of sandwiches, soups, salads and egg sandwiches.

The 1,699-square-foot bakery-cafe will offer seating for 18, with additional seating in the food court. Hours of operation will be Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
