Buckeye Health Plan Sponsors the All-Ohio State Fair Band at Annual Ohio State Fair, July 29 - August 9

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Buckeye Health Plan, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, announced today it will have a major presence at this year's Ohio State Fair, July 29 through August 9. Buckeye is the Presenting Sponsor of the All-Ohio State Fair Band for 2015 and 2016, as well as the continuing sponsor of the popular SkyGlider ride for the second year.

The Ohio State Fair, now in its 162^nd year, is ranked as one of the Top 12 U.S. Fairs by Travelchannel.com. A record-breaking 900,000 people visited the fair last year. The All-Ohio State Fair Band has been a featured attraction at the fair since 1925. The band performs concerts each day, as well as marching in the daily parade.

Buckeye continues this year to sponsor the popular SkyGlider ride, which spans one-half mile of the fairgrounds, running down the "main street" of the fair. The Buckeye name and logo appears on each of the 95 gondola cars. In addition, Buckeye will once again staff a community affairs booth in the Marketplace Building, booth 12B. Buckley the mascot will appear each day in the parade, and the community affairs team will have giveaways and information.
