The immersive in-app experience allows customers to interact with realistic, to-scale models of lighting fixtures and faucets.

Using Build.com's "In-Home Preview" feature, customers can view incredibly detailed, to-scale 3D models of products in their homes. The immersive experience allows customers to see exactly how a product will appear in their existing environment. Products can also be viewed in different interactive contexts from switching a light fixture on and off, to turning on a faucet.
While other home improvement retailers have dabbled in augmented reality, Build.com partnered with Prolific to leverage Apple's new ARKit to offer the most precise and accurate modified reality interactions in eCommerce today. The company carries over 800,000 products and aims to have over a thousand available in the "In-Home Preview" feature, including products from Delta, Kichler, Hansgrohe, Progress Lighting, Miseno, Park Harbor and more.
