Building Energy Code Update and New Compliance Software Workshops
AUSTIN, Texas, April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Texas State Energy Conservation Office recently announced that in response to the success of the Energy Code Update Workshops, they will continue offering the workshops in cities across Texas through April 2012. In addition, SECO will be adding new Compliance Software Workshops. Apple Energy Group, the training provider, will conduct the April workshops in Amarillo, Arlington, Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and Victoria.
The Energy Code Update and Compliance Software Workshops play an important role in ensuring that building professionals across the State understand the changes to the code and are prepared to implement the new building energy standard. The Energy Code Update Workshops will provide a thorough, yet concise review of the changes to the Texas Building Energy Code. The Compliance Software Workshops will provide instruction on utilizing compliance tools such as COMcheck, REScheck, Texas A&M's IC3 Software, ACCA Manuals J and S, duct blower, and blower door. Both the Energy Code Update and Compliance Software Workshops feature separate 3 hour Residential and Commercial sessions to serve the specific needs of the attendees.
Builders, architects, building officials, energy engineers, contractors, inspectors, building suppliers and others affected by these changes are invited to register and attend. The workshops have been approved for continuing education credits by the American Institute of Architects, the International Code Council, the Building Performance Institute, and the American Society of Home Inspectors.
