Built In Chicago Releases the TOP 100 Digital Companies In Chicago [INFOGRAPHIC]

CHICAGO, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The number of people working for Chicago digital technology companies grew by 21% in 2013 with more than 40,000 employed in the sector (compared to 33,000 in 2012). There are now more than 1,500 digital technology companies in Chicago with one launching every 24 hours in 2012. The fastest growing companies include Enova, Coyote Logistics, GoHealth, kCura, MSDSonline, Trunk Club, Braintree and Sprout Social. [SEE INFOGRAPHIC]

Enova, #3 on the list, ended 2012 with $661MM in revenue and $140MM in EBITDA.  This represents an annual revenue growth rate the last four years of 31%. And, for the majority of the Top 100 companies, their success was not created overnight. 66% of the companies being recognized are more than ten years old.  One such company, kCura, is a privately held software company founded in 2001.
