Bulldust is no Solution for the Residents of the Pilbara
EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For the residents of areas like Port Hedland, there may be some relief on the horizon thanks to some proprietary technology being introduced by North American company – NTI Nanotechnology Corp.
Recently, W.A. resident, Julie Matheson, who is preparing to run in the next State election researched solutions for an issue she is passionate about. After having almost half of her life in the region now challenged with a booming economy, the busiest port in the country and enough bulldust to warrant the evacuation of a portion of the Port Hedland townsite, Ms. Matheson was determined to research all available options to solve the problem.
She came across and subsequently tracked down Mr. Andre Voskuil, the CEO of NTI Nanotechnology Corp after reading about some of their successes in the Americas.
Subsequently, Mr. Voskuil and some of his team decided to visit Perth next week. Their goal is to research the issues that the local citizens deal with daily and that so far, a litany of committees, agencies and task forces have failed to find a solution for. Additionally, they plan on meeting with various parties to discuss solutions.
"We are interested in visiting West Australia and seeing the issues that are aggravating the residents in the mining areas," said Voskuil adding "While we have focussed most of our energies on solutions in the Americas, Australia is naturally a very interesting market to enter in to and one which our unique and patented nanotechnology solutions are ideally suited for."
For Ms. Matheson the solution cannot come soon enough. "As is often typical in these scenarios a lot of government funding has been pushed in to studies, committees and research, none of which has found a conclusive solution," said Matheson, adding "From my research and early discussions with Andre and his team, I am confident they have a solution for our residents that is environmentally sound and ties in to the existing economics of a mining organisation."
NTI Nanotechnology Corp focusses on resource extraction environmental solutions including road building in areas plagued by drought and water damage, dust mitigation and environmental clean-up. They own proprietary technology that utilises naturally occurring earth elements in a nanoparticle form to uniquely solve problems that have plagued the mining and resource extraction sector for generations.
Recently, following a unique solution for a mine bordering a UNESCO World Heritage site, the company received accolades from UNESCO after solving environmental degradation and dust issues following years of applications of non-environmentally sound solutions. It has been recorded a breakthrough solution with people, the planet and profit considerations in mind.
"We naturally hope to have productive meetings in West Australia that would include mining contractors, government representatives and mine operators. If we can play a part in making the lives of Western Australian citizens safer, cleaner and healthier, then we would be privileged to assist in that role," stated Voskuil.
