Buno Pati Joins Centerview Capital Technology as Senior Advisor

MENLO PARK, Calif., June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerview Capital Technology Management, L.P. ("Centerview Capital Technology") announced today that Dr. Buno Pati has joined the firm as Senior Advisor. Dr. Pati brings more than 20 years of experience building, leading and investing in technology companies and will provide strategic counsel to Centerview Capital Technology and its clients. He is the latest addition to Centerview Capital Technology's growing team, which welcomed Abhishek Sud as Principal and Melanie Harris as Head of Marketing and Investor Relations earlier this year.

Dr. Pati founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Numerical Technologies, a company that redefined how integrated circuits are designed and manufactured.  He led the company for eight years, from inception through an initial public offering and eventual acquisition. Most recently, Dr. Pati founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Sezmi Corporation, a company that developed and marketed video services offerings for telecom services providers.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Pati was an assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Harvard University and a post-doctoral research associate at Stanford University. He has served on the advisory boards of Index Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and the University of Maryland Board of Trustees and the Engineering School Board of Visitors.

Dr. Pati holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. He was inducted to the UMD Innovation Hall of Fame and has received numerous awards, including the MIT Global Indus Technovator Award and the ISQED IQ Award.
