BURGER KING® Introduces Regionally Inspired Summer BBQ Menu

MIAMI, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BURGER KING® is firing up the grill and celebrating the season with the return of its delicious summer BBQ menu. Burger King Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: BKW) today unveiled a line-up of thirteen mouth-watering menu items, featuring a combination of both new flavors and the return of a few fan favorites. The summer menu is inspired by the places and flavors that have made BBQ a way of life – like tangy Carolina BBQ, and the hickory smoked flavors of Memphis BBQ.

The new summer BBQ menu features:

• Rib Sandwich – A juicy boneless rib patty with a sweet and tangy BBQ Sauce is served with sweet pickles on a warm toasted artisan style bun.
• BBQ Chicken Salad – Seven premium lettuces are blended and topped with juicy premium white meat chicken fillet, grape tomatoes, a delicious blend of Monterrey Jack, Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses and drizzled with sweet BBQ Sauce. Served with KEN'S^® Honey Mustard Dressing and topped with the choice of juicy TENDERCRISP^® or TENDERGRILL^® chicken.
• Memphis BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich – A returning favorite that combines tender pulled pork with the hickory-smoked and sweet flavor of Memphis BBQ Sauce, topped with crisp sliced onions and a sweet southern dressing, all on a warm toasted artisan style bun.
• Carolina BBQ WHOPPER® Sandwich & BBQ WHOPPER JR® Sandwich – A southern BBQ twist on a classic, ¼ lb.* of savory fire-grilled beef is topped with naturally smoked thick-cut bacon, melted Pepper Jack cheese, fresh cut iceberg lettuce, crisp red onions, ripe tomatoes, featuring a sweet southern dressing, and covered in the sweet tang of Carolina BBQ sauce, on a sesame seed bun. *Based on pre-cooked patty weight. 
• Carolina BBQ TENDERCRISP® Sandwich – A premium white meat chicken fillet is generously breaded with homemade seasoning then topped with naturally smoked thick-cut bacon, melted Pepper Jack cheese, fresh cut iceberg lettuce, crisp red onions, ripe tomatoes, featuring a sweet southern dressing, and covered in the sweet tang of Carolina BBQ sauce, on a sesame seed bun.
• Sweet Potato Fries – The perfect combination of salty and sweet, crispy on the outside with tender sweet potato on the inside served piping hot.
• Buffalo Chicken Strips – Premium white meat chicken, available in three-piece and five-pieces are marinated and generously battered in seasoned home-style breading and a savory buffalo sauce.
• Frozen Lemonade & Frozen Strawberry Lemonade – A perfect balance of sweet and sour, the Frozen Lemonade combines real lemon flavor, ice and water. This fruity, frozen beverage is also available in Strawberry flavor.  Serving sizes include 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz.
• Chunky Cookie Made with OREO® Pieces – A soft, warm and buttery cookie made with OREO® pieces and baked fresh daily.
