Business Communication Professionals across 17 States Are Entering their Top Programs in 2015 Silver Quill Awards Program
COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Professionals in business communications, public relations, graphic design, marketing and related fields can now enter their best programs performed in 2014 and 2015 in the Silver Quill Awards Program, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Heritage Region.
Spanning 17 states and Washington, D.C., the Silver Quill Program is open to IABC members as well as non-members. Winning entries demonstrate outstanding work that meets clear business objectives―e.g., boosting revenue, reducing cost and motivating audiences to a desired action.

Entering the program
Eligible projects must be implemented, published or broadcast between January 1, 2014, and the day of submission. The submission deadline is July 10, 2015. Entrants can choose from 47 categories in four divisions:
- Communication Research Management
- Communication Management
- Communication Skills
- Communication Training and Education
Entries that have won Heritage Region Silver Quill previously cannot be accepted.
Entrants save time, as well as packaging and shipping costs, using a convenient online entry tool provided by AwardSentry for IABC award programs. The Silver Quill program is closely aligned with the international IABC Gold Quill Awards. Entrants receive feedback from highly qualified evaluators vetted through IABC headquarters.

How does evaluation work?
Each entry is evaluated independently by at least two trained evaluators who provide scoring and feedback. Evaluators look for evidence of careful planning and documentation of an entry's success through well-defined objectives with measurable results. Quantitative results are highly desired.
Evaluators consider how well a program is conceived, created and executed for its intended audiences, as well as appropriateness of the strategy and objectives in relation to results desired and achieved. Evaluations also receive a quality control check.
