Business Education Alliance (BEA) Drives To Improve Business Education Outcomes
Business Schools to Offer Personalized Matching Service
WILLIAMSBURG, Va., April 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A like-minded group of business school deans gathered together in December 2009 to discuss how best to raise the profile of their schools and to showcase their inherent strengths. Out of those discussions, the Business Education Alliance (BEA), a non-profit organization, was born. The organization was formed with the mission to be the trusted, objective, comprehensive source of data on MBA programs.
BEA Chairman and Dean of William & Mary's Mason School of Business, Larry Pulley, says, "BEA wants to change the way prospective students choose a business school. We focus on the information that matters –that really gets to why a person would be a great fit for a school. Ultimately, our goal is to improve the outcome of business education."
BEA is building a web-based, interactive tool that will allow prospective students to find the business school that best matches their needs. BestMatch will provide independent, verifiable data, as well as facilitate business schools showing their value in unique ways. BestMatch will leverage the latest technologies and social media to engage the student audience, making the information relevant and accessible.
Pulley went on to say, "BestMatch will be student-focused. Personalization and customization will make sure the student's needs are put first and foremost. Connectivity will provide the ability to converse directly with schools and connect students to companies, which may lead to an internship or job."
The Business Education Alliance welcomes new member schools and employers to join in their mission to effectively leverage collective resources to improve career outcomes for graduate business students.
