Business Marketing Association Phoenix Names Matt Hensler President
Sheila Kloefkorn appointed chapter vice president
PHOENIX, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Phoenix Chapter of the Business Marketing Association (BMA) has named Matt Hensler board president and Sheila Kloefkorn vice president of the board. Hensler, vice president, strategic services at Phoenix-based Canyon Communications, served as chapter vice president in 2012 and replaces outgoing BMA Phoenix chapter president Charles Babb. A member of the BMA since 2009, Hensler served as vice president of programming in 2010. Kloefkorn, who served as the Chapter's president in 2010, will also take on duties as vice president of programming.
"The BMA Phoenix chapter was built on the collaboration and collegial spirit of a handful of passionate business-to-business marketers, and this energy is apparent in the Chapter's events and programs we've planned for this year. We create value for our members by providing educational forums focused on topics ranging from staging live events that drive demand to implementing the digital marketing tools that deliver ROI. I encourage all B2B marketing professionals to come out to a BMA meeting to experience the benefits of this great organization!" stated Hensler.
Commenting on the contributions made by outgoing chapter president Babb, Hensler added, "I have a lot of respect for what Charlie and the board accomplished in the last year. Together they continued to build on the environment that was established for BMA Phoenix events where B2B strategies and insights are openly exchanged among business marketers."
The BMA Phoenix chapter continues to be recognized at a national level for its unique programming such as the annual Marketing Technology Summit, which is co-hosted by the Arizona Technology Council, and its approach to reach more B2B marketers through the introduction of a dedicated Young Professionals group.
With more than a decade of experience focused on B2B markets, Hensler has worked with a number of B2B companies in the construction services, healthcare, technology, industrial and facility services industries. He is experienced in brand and product positioning, message development and strategic communications planning, ranging from product launches to websites.
Other new board member updates include Larry Fleishman, practice director, branding and go-to-market Strategies at Televerde, and Malcolm Atherton, account partner from PR Newswire, will serve as vice president and director respectively of the Membership Committee. In addition, Richard Haynie, owner and creative director at Haynie Design, will lead social media and design for the Chapter, and Cory Fetter, public relations and social media coordinator, at Avnet, Inc., will represent the newly formed BMA Phoenix Young Professionals group.
