This IDC Manufacturing Insights study provides an analysis of our survey results from 215 interviews with manufacturers operating across Germany, the U.K., France, Italy, and Spain regarding product life-cycle IT applications. The study shows adoption levels and investment plans for four product life-cycle IT applications: CAx (computer-aided design/CAD, computer-aided manufacturing/CAM, computer-aided engineering/CAE), PDM (product data management), PLM (product life-cycle management), digital manufacturing, and warranty management.
