BCA Online University consists of two steps of comprehensive valuation instruction leading to the BCA accreditation. The first step is Level 1 Valuation Essentials. This course introduces business valuation concepts, methodologies and the steps to be followed in arriving at an opinion of value The topics are geared towards 100%-ownership interests in closely-held businesses. Successful completion of the Level 1 proctored exam is a prerequisite for enrollment into the second step, Level 2 Advanced Techniques. This course covers in-depth issues relating to partial interest valuation assignments for businesses and includes calculating discounts and premiums. Upon successful completion of the exams, students prepare a demonstration report which is submitted for peer review. Upon approval by the ISBA the student successfully earns the BCA professional credential.
