C Spire to celebrate availability of its next-generation 1 Gbps Fiber to the Home service in first Clinton neighborhoods offering 100x faster Internet access and related services

WHAT:

C Spire invites the news media to attend a press conference on Friday, June 26 in Clinton celebrating activation of service for the first customers of its ultra-high speed 1 Gig Fiber to the Home initiative offering residents 100 times faster broadband Internet access, super HD™ TV and home phone service.  The historic event is the next step in C Spire's ambitious "Get Fiber First" challenge – a call-to-action for Mississippi cities and towns to rally their residents and showcase their collective desire to bring the technology of tomorrow to their communities today. 

Clinton was one of the first Mississippi towns selected to participate in the program and becomes the fourth city to offer residents the game-changing technology, which is available in only a handful of other U.S. cities.  Three other Mississippi cities, Quitman, Ridgeland and Starkville, already have the service.  Mayor Phil Fisher and a host of other government, business, technology and community leaders and dignitaries will join C Spire to celebrate this historic moment for Clinton and the state of Mississippi.
