The announcement was made during a press event on Tuesday, February 25, held in Jenkins Township in C3i's new facility. This new facility will be located in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park in Jenkins Township and will house a help desk. The complex was built by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services and is already hosting another facility of C3i – a hardware depot. The expansion is a result of C3i recently winning large contracts with two global pharmaceutical companies to provide help desk support services for campus and field sales-based personnel. This help desk will be open 24 hours a day, and while all calls in this center will be handled in English, they can originate from anywhere in the world.
In 2007, C3i made the strategic decision to establish a presence in Northeast Pennsylvania by opening its first facility in the area – a help desk located in Plains Township. Five years later, in 2012, C3i opened a second facility nearby – a hardware services depot located in Jenkins Township. These two centers, combined with positions located on-site at a client in Swiftwater, PA, have led to C3i establishing 354 jobs in the region over the past 6 years.
Initially, in the new facility, C3i will hire 100 people. Over the next three years, C3i will hire an additional 156 professionals in this location, bringing the total new jobs in the new help desk facility to 256.
