CA Technologies CEO Mike Gregoire Joins NPower Board of Directors

Group Supports STEM Education and Fostering Future Leaders in IT

NEW YORK and ISLANDIA, N.Y., Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CA Technologies Chief Executive Officer Mike Gregoire has been named to the Board of Directors of NPower, a national nonprofit that energizes and empowers the tech community to give back through Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs.

Since 2007, CA Technologies has partnered with NPower to support the organization's Technology Service Corps, which enables young adults and veterans to pursue STEM focused careers by providing free professional skills training and internships. Every single individual who gets a job upon graduation from the program is estimated to add $1 million in value to society over the course of their lifetime.

In addition to joining the Board Directors, Mike will be honored for CA Technologies commitment to advancing STEM learning at NPower's 2013 Gala, An Evening of Powerful Connections, on Thursday, October 3 in New York City.

Gregoire joined CA Technologies in 2013 after nearly 25 years in the software and information technology services industries. Prior to joining CA Technologies, he served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Taleo Corp., a cloud-based talent management software company and one of the world's largest on-demand software companies. Before joining Taleo, Mike spent four years at PeopleSoft, Inc., where he was the executive vice president of PeopleSoft Global Services.

Earlier, Mike spent 12 years at Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS), where he held a number of senior positions including executive director of the global financial markets group, chief technologist for manufacturing and financial verticals, as well as several architecture and project management positions.

A native of Niagara, Ontario, Canada, Mike has a master's degree from California Coast University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada. He sits on the board of ShoreTel (NASDAQ:SHOR) and is the Chairman of ShorTel's Compensation Committee.
