("SST") continues to develop innovative new features for its CAEPIPE software, which is why we are proud to announce that CAEPIPE Version 9.00 includes two new exciting modules – Lugs and Nozzles. The Lug module is for use in calculating local stresses at Lugs welded to pipes and the Nozzle module is for calculating local shell stresses at Pipe-to-Equipment junctions. Below is a more complete list of key Enhancements made to CAEPIPE in Version 9.00.

Key New Features Added to CAEPIPE Version 9.00:

Two (2) nuclear piping codes are added as listed below.

ASME Section III, NC - Class 2 (2017)
ASME Section III, ND - Class 3 (2017)

New module added to evaluate Hollow Circular Attachment (Lug) and Solid Rectangular Attachment (Lug) welded to Pipe as per the following Nuclear and European codes.

ASME Section III, Division 1, 2010 - NC
ASME Section III, Division 1, 2010 - ND
EN 13480-3 (2017) - Section 11

New module added to calculate local shell stresses as per WRC Bulletin 537 and evaluate those stresses as per ASME Section VIII, Division 2 for Nozzles attached to Cylindrical and Spherical Vessels.
For Refrigeration Piping Code ASME B31.5, the feature Show/Hide "Operating Stress for NDE" is modified to Show/Hide "Operating Stress for Impact Test" calculated in accordance with Para. 523.2.2 (f)(4) of B31.5 (2016) code.
For Piping Code = EN13480, Stress Intensification Factors (SIFs) are now calculated using Table H.3 of EN 13480-3 (2017) instead of Table H.1.
For Piping Code = EN13480, Settlement evaluation as per EN 13480-3 (2017) is now included in the Code Compliance.
For Piping Code = EN13480, Piping stresses for Buried portion are now evaluated as per EN 13480-6 (2017) in Code Compliance.
CAEPIPE can now import neutral files generated from CAESAR II.

New Product – CAEPIPE Review:

SST has released a new product that is free to use. It's called "CAEPIPE Review". This "free" new product can be used to read and review CAEPIPE models of any size. It can also be used to review, print, and plot the results for those models. So, it can be distributed free of license fees, to pipe stress supervisors and clients for them to review CAEPIPE stress models and their results.

CAEPIPE Review can also be used to create large stress models, thereby allowing new users to learn modelling features of CAEPIPE. Currently, CAEPIPE Review has almost all the features of the full-fledged CAEPIPE; however, the following features are disabled in CAEPIPE Review.

"Export to…",
"Save", and
"Analyze".

CAEPIPE Review can also be used to import and review pipe stress models from CAESAR II (.cii files), AutoPIPE (via .cii Export from AutoPIPE), Rohr2 (via .cii Export from Rohr2) and PipePak.
