IRVINE, Calif. and SAN FRANCISCO, July 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CalAmp (Nasdaq: CAMP), a technology solutions pioneer transforming the global connected economy, announced today the integration of its CrashBoxx™ services with the fleet management platform developed by Carmine®. Carmine is a leader in the telematics industry looking to transform fleet management software to improve the efficiency and safety of small and medium-sized business (SMB) fleet operators in the U.S.
For Carmine customers, CrashBoxx integration will offer instant crash alerts via email or mobile app push notifications facilitating timely assistance to drivers. The notifications will include information about the incident including relative location, date, time and severity of the crash. Additionally, the collision information is available through Carmine's existing web portal. Carmine fleet operators can then generate reports that detail how many vehicles within their respective fleets have been involved in collisions. Under certain circumstances, detailed accident reconstruction reports can be ordered, enabling fleet managers to expedite the repair process and analyze liability.
"By integrating CrashBoxx into their fleet management platform, Carmine is providing an enhanced fleet management solution that will enable their customers to not only improve the efficiency of their operations but access potentially life-saving crash services," said Paul Washicko, senior vice president and general manager CalAmp's Software & Subscription Services business. "We are excited about their launch of CrashBoxx in the U.S. and look forward to partnering with them on the rollout in European markets."
"The U.S. fleet market is highly saturated and integrating CalAmp's CrashBoxx into our existing solution is a key differentiator for us," said Carmine CEO Ali Reza Fategh. "Accidents happen, and we want our customers to have the latest technology that can significantly reduce costs associated with a crash as well as provide notifications that can save lives."
Approximately 30,000 users across European and U.S. markets subscribe to Carmine's fleet management solutions.
