Author offers prize money to ex - cons whose writing is selected to be in his new book.
SAN RAMON, Costa Rica, May 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Raymond Comeau, the author of a soon-to-be-released book titled "What Bad We Do" is holding a contest with monetary prizes to be awarded to each of 16 winners chosen to write 16 chapter forwards for his new work.
The catch? The entrants must be ex – offenders.
"Through the ages, society has tended to not want to know –or to simply ignore—the irresponsible actions committed by others and a damage resulting to loved ones, family, friends and total strangers, as witnessed by the growing population in our correctional facilities around the globe," said author Raymond Comeau. "The purpose of this book is to provide commandments for the 21st century."
Comeau is challenging ex – offenders to share their stories and the positive directions their lives have taken.
As part of the book and contest promotion, he`s traveling to Hollywood, Ca, on April 15 – 17 to be interviewed by Jack Canfield, co – author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul." He will discuss the new book and its upcoming website, OurSoulsDirection.com. The interview will be shown on numerous TV stations and social media channels.
National Director Pastor Willie Simpson of the Black Wall Street Reentry and Recovery Dept has asked his 30.000 ex – offenders membership to actively participate in the contest. Anyone feeling they need assistance may contact [email protected].
The 16 winning entrants will each receive $100, to be paid immediately after the book is published. To qualify, the contestants must be a U.S citizen and have committed a felony in the U.S. The contestant is required to write 300 – 400 words on one of the topics that represent the book chapters, telling his or her story and the positive life direction they have taken today. All chosen contest winners will be vetted. All submissions will be kept in strict confidence.
