SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Vator's Splash SF event will bring angels and venture capital leaders together with promising business startups and seasoned entrepreneurs for a fun event that promises to spark fundraising opportunities and inspiration.

Even though success is not defined by how much money a company has raised, Thumbtack, Getable, Grovo, Astrid, Udemy, and Geeklist have gone on to raise millions of dollars collectively from venerable VCs and angels, soon after presenting at Splash.

At Splash, the 400 expected attendees will also hear from top entrepreneurs sharing their stories.

Keynote speaker Samir Arora, founder and CEO of Glam Media, will speak about building his company from the ground up to become one of the biggest lifestyle companies, with a $1 billion valuation. Glam is also one of the few digital companies expected to have an IPO in the near future. Andy Kurtzig, founder and CEO of Pearl, a professional services Q&A company, will talk about how to bootstrap a startup years before taking outside funding and becoming a $100-million revenue run-rate company.
