Already in production with StoneRiver for policy administration, the implementation of Billing Stream is the next step in Cameron's project to modernize its technology environment through the replacement of legacy mainframe systems.  The new capabilities provided with Billing Stream will enable Cameron to maintain and strengthen its differentiator as a service focused business through enhanced service offerings and further leveraging Cameron's already strong relationship with its agent community.  A future phase to be executed in a serial, subsequent fashion will involve implementing Claims Stream as well.

In addition to replacement of the legacy billing environment, the implementation of Billing Stream will enable Cameron to:

  • Provide new billing options including Web billing;
  • Continue to be a service focused business and provide even better service to agents and policyholders;
  • Leverage the underlying enterprise bus for easier integration of third party systems across the organization; and
  • Ensure consistency of process and workflow throughout the enterprise.

"We are acting on our strategic plan to modernize our operating environment and position our organization for the future.  Key to our effort is the implementation of StoneRiver systems to enable us to provide the desired processes, efficiencies, and services, while reducing operational costs," said Gary Myers, President and CEO of Cameron Insurance.  "We have known and worked with StoneRiver for a long time and feel confident in their ability to help us to continue to meet our technology and business goals."

StoneRiver's President and CEO Gary Sherne, commented, "We appreciate Cameron's long and strong commitment to StoneRiver, and look forward to working with the Cameron team as they continue their technology modernization initiative. Cameron's selection of Billing Stream and Claims Stream is evidence of the increasing market demand for our Stream Suite of products and further validation that we have taken the right approach to product introduction and market development."

Billing Stream is a property-casualty web-based billing system for all personal and commercial lines of business. It's a single elegant system for all bill types and integrates easily with third party services and systems. Billing is a critical touch point, and Billing Stream can help insurers keep agent and policyholder trust high.

With Claims Stream, P&C insurers have a web-based claims administration system for all personal and commercial lines. Claims are customer contact points that frequently influence retention rates, so it's critical that claims settlement is fast, whether the claim is large or small. Automation can help insurers achieve that speed. The elegant look and navigation across the entire Stream solution set enables intuitive claims administration.
