$750,000 Commitment Builds on Successful First Phase to Impact More than 40,000 Young People in 13 States

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Camp Fire, an innovative national youth development organization, and AT&T announced an expanded collaboration from a $750,000 contribution that will continue bridging the digital divide and empowering young people with essential Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills and digital literacy. This milestone collaboration comes as both organizations celebrate significant anniversaries in 2026—AT&T's 150th anniversary and Camp Fire's 116th anniversary.

Camp Fire and AT&T Expand Collaboration to Bridge the Digital Divide

This expanded collaboration will focus on supporting young people through six key program areas across 19 affiliates in 13 states: 1) Bridging the STEM Divide, 2) Teen Leadership Pathways, 3) Youth Well-being in the Digital Age, 4) Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® 2026 (#KidDay), 5) Storytelling, and 6) Expanding Partnerships.

Expanded high-quality STEM programming will reach 2,500 new youth with hands-on learning experiences in robotics, environmental education, and digital literacy. Teen Leadership Pathways will support 500 youth with workforce development, college and career readiness, and community service opportunities through skills training and mentoring. Additionally, we will partner with Connected Nation's "Teens Teach Tech" program, allowing youth to serve as digital navigators and help older adults in their communities learn important technology skills. New digital well-being programs will support 1,500 new youth and families to learn online safety, which teaches the skills, knowledge, and habits needed to navigate the internet responsibly and securely; AT&T will also be the headline 2026 #KidDay sponsor, with a multi-faceted campaign aimed to reach 10,000 youth with letters of encouragement and laptops.

Over the past year, AT&T and Camp Fire's first phase of collaboration provided over 10,000 young people and families with connections and skills they need to thrive in the digital age. From staff-led workshops to content from AT&T's The AchieveryTM free learning platform, to STEM programs implemented across 150 different schools, thousands of youth participants were given the chance to accelerate their self-discovery and education. Its Tech Fund provided funding to eight Camp Fire affiliates to expand STEM programs focused on robotics and outdoor and environmental education, directly addressing barriers to technology access in underserved communities.
