"Campus Management is extremely proud to support 4KIDS of South Florida with this cash donation today and we hope it will make a difference in the lives of the children that this fine organization serves," said Timothy B. Loomer, president and CEO of Campus Management. "Giving back to our local community is important to us and we want to make sure that these kids have the resources they need for a brighter future."
In addition to the cash donation, Campus Management executives and employees will volunteer their time throughout the year at various 4KIDS of South Florida events.
Loomer says selecting a charity was a difficult task because there are so many worthy organizations in the area that support families and children in need. The charitable giving program at Campus Management asks their associates to nominate charities they are involved with, and that have to do with the welfare or education of children for consideration. Loomer went on to say that narrowing down the field was tough, but feels that an excellent choice was made in the first year of the program for the company.
"4KIDS partners with churches, foundations, businesses, and individuals to bring hope to children in crisis. We cannot do it alone," said Tom Lukasik, executive director of 4KIDS of South Florida. "This collaborative approach to solving the foster care problem in our community is working, but we need more help. It's going to take all of us; this is our community, these are our children, and we will solve this problem."
It is estimated that 4KIDS of South Florida will touch 1,500 kids alone this year, and only 30% of its funding comes from government agencies with the rest coming from private sources.
