CANACCORD GENUITY CONTINUES TO EXPAND U.S. OPERATIONS WITH TWO ADDITIONS TO EQUITY RESEARCH TEAM

NEW YORK, May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Canaccord Genuity is pleased to announce that Randall Stanicky has agreed to join Canaccord Genuity's Equity Research team as a Managing Director covering the Specialty Pharmaceutical sector, with an anticipated start date in July 2011. The Firm is also pleased to announce that Camilo Lyon has joined Canaccord Genuity's Equity Research team as a Principal covering Hardlines and other subsectors within the retail sector.

Based out of New York, Randall will establish new coverage for the firm in specialty pharmaceuticals and certain pharmaceutical services companies, which will be fully aligned with Canaccord Genuity's existing coverage of biotechnology and medical technologies.

Also based out of New York, Camilo will establish new coverage for the firm in certain hardline retail categories, as well as several companies in the footwear and apparel sector. His coverage will have a pronounced emphasis on active life styles and, in that regard, will be closely aligned with Scott Van Winkle's pre-eminent coverage of the Healthy Living sector.

Over the past 12 months Canaccord Genuity has continued to expand in the U.S., hiring 16 senior professionals; three Investment Banking professionals, five Institutional Sales & Trading professionals, and eight Equity Research analysts.

Mr. Stanicky will join Canaccord Genuity from Goldman Sachs & Company, where over the last 10 years he covered companies across several sectors including specialty pharmaceuticals, generic drugs, clinical research organizations, pharmacy benefit managers as well as the broader healthcare technology drug distribution space. Previously, he worked at Citigroup Global Asset Management, with responsibilities in their coverage of healthcare services. Mr. Stanicky is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, and is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Lyon joins Canaccord Genuity from Wedbush Securities, where he covered Specialty Retailing. Previously, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he covered Footwear and Sporting Goods. His other employment experience includes Goldman Sachs & Company in private wealth management, and Fidelity Investments as a performance analyst. Mr. Lyon is a graduate of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with an MBA, and Boston University, with a BA in Business Administration.
