Canal Insurance Company Announces Leadership Changes

GREENVILLE, S.C., Aug. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Paul Brocklebank, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canal Insurance Company, announced today that the Company's Board of Directors has recently approved the following changes in leadership.

Mr. Jarrell "JL" Hall, previously Assistant Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for the Company, has been promoted to Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer.  Mr. Hall joined Canal in December 2014 and since that time has effectively enhanced the Company's marketing strategies and distribution management.  Mr. Hall has over 25 years of diversified insurance industry experience, including underwriting roles of increasing responsibility at both Chubb and CNA Insurance.  He is a graduate of the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Public Relations.   He also holds the designation of Certified Professional Insurance Agent as well as a certification in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management.  In his new role, Mr. Hall will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of strategy, business plans, expense management, goals and results in the Company's Underwriting business units. 

Mr. Christopher Greene, Canal's Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel, is promoted to Senior Vice President and has taken on the additional role as the Company's Chief Claims Officer.   Mr. Greene joined Canal in January 2009 and, in serving as primary legal counsel to the Company, has worked extensively across all functional areas, including Claims.  Prior to joining Canal Mr. Greene served as General Counsel for a division of AIG, as Corporate Counsel to Progressive Insurance Company, and as trial attorney for the Birmingham, Alabama based law firm of Gaines, Wolter & Kinney, P.C.    Mr. Greene has been admitted to several state and federal bars since 1995 and is a graduate of the University of Alabama's School of Law.
