HILTON HEAD, S.C., July 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tanger Outlet Center in Hilton Head is thrilled to announce that Beaufort County's own American Idol Candice Glover will kick off the annual Tanger PinkSTYLE Campaign to benefit the Duke-affiliated Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center with a special performance on Thursday, September 12. The "Candice For A Cure" Concert will start at 7:30pm in the parking lot at Tanger 1 and will be free to the public. Tanger is proud to host this concert with Pink Magazine with the support of Hilton Head Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
"I am excited to head back home to perform in Beaufort County, especially to support Beaufort Memorial," says Glover. "I also grew up shopping at Tanger and believe the PinkSTYLE Campaign gives invaluable support to the fight for a cure to Breast Cancer."
"The PinkSTYLE Campaign gives Tanger the chance each fall to combat the terrible disease of Breast Cancer within our community," adds LaDonna Shamlou, General Manager of Tanger Outlet Center Hilton Head. "We are honored to support the Keyserling Cancer Center and cannot think of a better way to celebrate the campaign than with a performance by Candice Glover, someone who has touched the lives of and inspired so many this year in Beaufort County and beyond."
"Tanger has been a outstanding partner to the Keyserling Cancer Center for the past several years through its PinkSTYLE campaign," said Beaufort Memorial President & CEO Rick Toomey. "The money we receive from this event helps pay for some of our most important programs, including clinical trials, that offer patients access to cutting-edge cancer treatments. It also funds services we provide to patients and survivors for free, such as social workers, nutritionists and a breast care coordinator."
"We're delighted that Candice Glover has joined the effort this year," adds Toomey. "Her involvement will only enhance awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer in our community."
A pre-show Pink Partini will be held from 5:00-7:00pm leading up to the concert, with complimentary drinks, food, dancing, a personal appearance by Glover and the chance to win prizes from Tanger brands. Tickets for the party will be $20 each with all proceeds benefiting the Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center. Tickets will go on sale the first week of August and can be purchased at www.tangeroutlet.com/hiltonhead. Gourmet Food trucks from around the Lowcountry will also be on site selling food for concert attendees from the afternoon through the end of the concert.
Additional event sponsors are Hargray Communications, Clear Channel Radio, WJCL & WTGS, Bluffton Today and Savannah Morning News.
The 20th annual Tanger PinkSTYLE campaign will take place at the Tanger Outlet Center in Hilton Head September 12 - October 25, 2013.
