MELVILLE, N.Y., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc. (CIIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., and Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of the Accounts Payable (AP) Automation Solution, based on Canon's Enterprise Imaging Platform (EIP) with Oracle's PeopleSoft 9.2. CIIS will demonstrate AP automation solutions at RECONNECT 2016, the annual event for business users of PeopleSoft, organized by the Quest International Users Group in Rosemont, IL, from July 19-21. Canon will also sponsor a keynote session at RECONNECT on July 20 and speak about the importance of imaging and information integration in the transformation of PeopleSoft business processes.
To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. The validation includes a range of technical and process-oriented testing including integrated functionality, data integrity, security and documentation. Building on the success of previous Oracle Validated Integrations between the CIIS AP Automation Solutions based on the EIP and Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Oracle E-Business Suite, the integration with PeopleSoft is the latest to help organizations reduce cost and increase performance.
"Leveraging imaging technologies to re-engineer business processes can bring productivity gains and strengthen information governance for organizations. Accounts Payable processes are examples of business processes that can greatly benefit from the digitization initiatives enabled by Canon," said Tetsuhiro Minamide, president and CEO, Canon Information and Imaging Solutions. "Canon is proud to achieve Oracle Validated Integration, which confirms our solutions' ability to bring significant benefits to Oracle's PeopleSoft customers in helping them address their business challenges."
"Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our customers confidence that the integration between CIIS's AP Automation Solution based on EIP and Oracle's PeopleSoft 9.2 is functionally sound and performs as tested," said David Hicks, vice president, Worldwide ISV, OEM and Java Business Development, Oracle. "For solutions deployed on-premise, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps to reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner's integrated offering."
Canon has worked closely with Oracle and customers to bring imaging capabilities into the PeopleSoft ecosystem. The AP Automation Solution is based on the Enterprise Imaging Platform by Canon, a single middleware platform that captures, creates, processes and automates document workflows while integrating relevant information into various enterprise applications. The solution leverages the newly released PeopleSoft Open Imaging Integration Framework to automate the AP process end to end. PeopleSoft customers looking to replace manual invoice processing with a fully automated system, can leverage capabilities such as automated extraction of information from documents, automated approvals, and accessibility of document archives from PeopleSoft.
