Capital Hilton Launches Fall Guest Programming, Debuts Art Gallery Installation
Festive fall guest activities await, along with new partnership with D.C. Bird Alliance
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital Hilton is celebrating the fall season with a lineup of guest activations aimed to welcome the fall season, as well as the unveiling of a new photography feature at La Galerie on K, the hotel's onsite art gallery with photography from members of the D.C. Bird Alliance, an all-volunteer, community nonprofit that connects people with the joy of birds across all eight wards of the city.
The exhibit showcases bird images from teen photography workshop artists to seasoned bird lovers. Subjects range from familiar city residents, such as cardinals, woodpeckers and hawks to seasonal migrants and other species photographed around the world, reflecting the flyways that connect D.C.'s neighborhoods to feathered friends everywhere. Images come from across Washington, D.C. as well as from travels abroad, inviting guests to see how birds link the city to a wider, living planet.
"Partnering with a local organization allows us to celebrate both the artistry and the natural beauty found right here in our community," said Paolo Pedrazzini, general manager, Capital Hilton. "As part of our fall programming, this installation provides guests with a unique way to experience the beauty of the season, bringing the colors and spirit of autumn indoors to enrich their stay with us."
"I hope guests walk away realizing that wild moments are everywhere — a hawk above a crosswalk, swifts spinning at dusk, a warbler in a street-side tree. Once you notice birds, you can't unsee them; the city feels more alive. And when a place feels alive, we take better care of it and everything that calls it home," said Maria-Elena Montero, President, D.C. Bird Alliance.
La Galerie on K is free and open to the public daily.
Additional autumn programming available at Capital Hilton through October, includes:
- Oktoberfest at The Statler Lounge (through Sunday, October 5): The Statler Lounge will offer a festive Oktoberfest menu for dinner, local craft beers, and seasonal cocktails.
- Capital Haunts Halloween Package (Thursday, October 30 through Sunday, November 2): For Halloween weekend, Capital Hilton will offer a limited-time package that includes a festive welcome amenity, a book that details Washington D.C.'s paranormal history, and two complimentary beverages from The Statler Lounge. The hotel's lobby will also feature a playful Halloween décor installation, providing a backdrop for photos and a touch of holiday fun for guests.
- Self-Guided Bird Watching Tour: Building on the gallery partnership, guests can also connect with the city's natural side through a self-guided bird watching tour developed by the D.C. Bird Alliance. The curated routes highlight birding hotspots across the District, offering a chance to discover urban wildlife while enjoying the crisp fall air.
