Capitol Heights, Maryland is Leading the Way with its Unique Version of Shared Workspace

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md., May 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Intuitive Group, a local government consulting firm located in Prince George's County has announced the recent launch of it's brainchild Clout Workspace.  Clout Workspace is shared coworking environment located in Capitol Heights, Maryland specifically dedicated to supporting local small businesses, freelancers and independent professionals in and around the metro area. 

The first of its kind in the area, the workspace not only features lounge areas for open collaboration, it has private meeting rooms, a small training room, shared offices and dedicated desks.  Beyond the workspace, Clout also offers business training events, workshops, networking events and business technical assistance for those who need it.  It's being touted as an economic community model where professionals can work together, support each other and be more productive.

Tami Mullen, Principal of Intuitive Group, created Clout Workspace out of sheer necessity. "The idea was birthed out of years of frustration of not having a central place, in my immediate community, to access business resources, conduct meetings, facilitate training events and leverage my networks all under one roof," Mullen shares. "There was a barrier to building my business and after several conversations with other business colleagues voicing the same concerns, I decided to take action."  The workspace is open to the local business community but Clout will also offer unique programming for businesses that sell to the public sector as well.  "Since there is a large government contracting community in and around Capitol Heights and growth opportunities are on the horizon, creating programming to support those businesses just made sense," said Tami.

According to DeskMag, a magazine dedicated to the workspace, there are over 10,000 coworking spaces around the world and the industry shows little signs of slowing down.  Clout Workspace aims to break the traditional model of working, by catering to specific niches while also providing a cross pollination of technical assistance, shared work environments, and resources. The need for sharing resources in a collaborative way are at an all-time high and Clout is determined to lead the charge of doing things differently.  "We are more than workspace – it's a mindset."
