FARMINGTON, Conn., April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Carrier Corp. has sold its Sutrak bus air-conditioning business in Europe, Middle East and Africa to J. Eberspacher Gmbh & Co KG, a global supplier of vehicle exhaust and heater systems based in Germany. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Carrier Corp. is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
Sutrak is a leading provider of bus air-conditioning systems with manufacturing operations in Germany and Spain. Carrier has also signed an agreement to sell its bus air-conditioning distribution operations in India and Mexico to Eberspacher. Carrier's other bus air-conditioning operations are not part of this transaction. The divested businesses combined had sales of approximately $90 million and more than 200 employees.

The Mexico and India transactions are subject to customary closing conditions.
