Time Warner Cable and Casa Systems highlight CCAP benefits at Energy 2020 Exhibit: Time Warner Cable and Casa Systems will showcase the results of a C100G deployment for converged high-speed data and video across 25 hubs in the operator's New York City service area. These benefits include reduced energy consumption, reduced rack space requirements, simplified operations, cost savings, the enablement of higher-speed tier offerings and improved customer experience.

Live DOCSIS 3.1 demo shows multi-gigabit downstream speeds available today: Casa will demonstrate DOCSIS 3.1 upstream and downstream on its C100G platform. With DOCSIS 3.1, service providers are able to take advantage of higher orders of modulation to deliver throughputs up to 10 Gbps. Casa's C100G is able to deliver full DOCSIS 3.1 capabilities now, for service providers who want a competitive edge in offering multi-gigabit services with no field upgrades required.

New Remote CCAP Node (RCN) distributes PHY layer functions: Casa will demonstrate its new RCN to distribute PHY layer functions and enable cable operators to increase network density and throughput levels without increasing the equipment in headends. Designed to simplify operations and management, and support all current CCAP services without requiring changes to existing cable modems or set-top devices, the RCN is a logical next step for cable operators in their network evolution.
