ROSEVILLE, Calif., Dec. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cascade Training announced today that they have been officially awarded the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) contract to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS certification) training to healthcare professionals in all 38 of CCHCS's facilities across the state.

This opportunity represents the first time ever that the state has awarded this contract to a single vendor. The bid by Cascade was initiated and completed by Cascade's team in Roseville, California. The contract between Cascade and CCHCS could last as long as 2.5 years, and showcases Cascade's capability to handle a contract of this size and stature.

"We are prepared to give CCHCS everything they need. We have the resources and infrastructure to handle clients of this size," said Gallian. "We are excited to partner with CCHCS, and I am confident we can collaborate with CCHCS to set up a long-term agreement that sets a nationwide standard for healthcare certification training in prison systems."

Cascade will provide end-to-end training and program management, and will deliver industry expertise, cloud-based technology, as well as reducing risk for CCHCS by ensuring BLS and ACLS certification compliance and the added benefit of avoiding organizational headaches around managing these certifications.

Jason Price, Vice-President of Global Strategy at Cascade, stated, "Although Cascade has past experience managing large contracts, exclusively winning this contract is validation of our logistical capabilities to execute large contracts. It is immensely gratifying to offer complete management of any requirements for medical, compliance and safety training. Offloading this burden for our clients is our sweet spot."
