Cash Store Donates To American Red Cross To Assist Oklahoma Tornado Victims
IRVING, Texas, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the recent tornado outbreak in Oklahoma, Cash Store has announced today that they will make a financial contribution to the American Red Cross, which is providing aid to the families and communities affected by the tornadoes last week. An EF5 tornado struck the town of Moore on May 20, and tornadoes touched down in parts of Central Oklahoma on May 19.
The American Red Cross has deployed 45 emergency response vehicles, and more than 900 American Red Cross disaster workers are helping with relief efforts. Cash Store's donation will help fund the American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts, which includes emergency aid, food, clothing, as well as mental and physical health services.
"Our hearts go out to the families in Oklahoma that were impacted by these devastating tornadoes," says CEO Trevor Ahlberg. "We want to do what we can to help the American Red Cross provide critical assistance to these communities."
Established in 1881, the American Red Cross stands as one of the first humanitarian organizations in the nation. The organization's dedication to humanitarian efforts has helped them to excel in five areas, including blood collection, helping those affected by disasters across America, health and safety, training, and education.
Cash Store encourages others to donate to The American Red Cross and their dedicated efforts in order to help those who have been affected by natural disasters.
