IRVING, Texas, June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cash Store, a Texas based consumer financial services provider, has announced its sponsorship of the second annual The WALK at the Detroit Zoo, which benefits the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan. Cash Store is among several sponsors for The WALK, which will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Detroit Zoo.
Leukemia is the most common cancer in children, according to the American Cancer Society. The WALK at the Detroit Zoo will help raise funds to support the mission of the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, which provides personalized assistance to adults and children in Michigan who are affected by leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related disorders.
Participants in The WALK will spend a day at the Detroit Zoo. The event kicks off with an inspirational opening program. There will be music, team photos and opportunities to win prizes.

Event check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the zoo. Participants in The WALK are asked to pledge a minimum of $30 by asking friends and family to donate.
