Caterpillar Selects PMAlliance for Project Management Support of Their Georgia Facility Project

ATLANTA, March 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Caterpillar Inc. recently announced the location of their new Building Construction Products (BCP) facility will be in Athens, Georgia.  The facility will produce small tractors and excavators previously being produced at one of their Japanese facilities. 

In December 2011, PMAlliance was contracted by the Caterpillar BCP Division in Cary, North Carolina to assist their team with implementing a rigorous project management planning and control process utilizing PMAlliance's Duration-Driven Methodology.

PMAlliance is positioned to support the Athens, Georgia facility project with long-term onsite project management consulting services.  Caterpillar plans to break ground on the new Building Construction Products facility sometime in the first quarter of 2012.  Initial production at production at the facility is expected to begin in late 2013.
