Cuccinelli will boost economy, protect children and families

CHICAGO, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Brian Burch, President of the Candidate Fund announced today a new initiative to help rally Catholic support for Republican Ken Cuccinelli's gubernatorial bid in Virginia. The new website includes a new radio ad set to air across Virginia, a candidate comparison flyer, voter registration tools and other resources for Catholic voters.

"From education to the foundational issues of life, family and freedom, Ken Cuccinelli is the candidate Catholics are rallying behind in Virginia. While both candidates claim to be Catholic, Ken's opponent Terry McAuliffe has been a staunch supporter of abortion on demand, taxpayer-funded abortion, and even supports late-term abortions when children feel pain.

"McAuliffe has taken these extremist positions despite the stories of gruesome underground abortion practices across the country including the sickening conditions of baby butcher Kermit Gosnell's abortion facility in Philadelphia.  Mr. Cuccinelli supports commonsense measures favored by a majority of Virginians that will protect women and children," said Burch.

The two candidates differ widely on marriage as well, said Burch. "Ken understands the unique role of marriage as a union of one man and one women for raising the next generation. Terry McAuliffe rejects this truth and calls it 'divisive.'  McAuliffe will help usher in new threats to religious freedom if elected," warned Burch.

"Ken Cuccinelli has proposed a 13% cut in the state income tax which would boost jobs across the state, and also supports a tuition tax credit scholarship program which would allow families to escape failing schools.  Mr. McAuliffe refuses to stand up for children suffering in failing schools."

"When you compare the two candidates for governor, the choice becomes crystal clear: every Virginia voter, and Catholics in particular, must get behind Ken Cuccinelli," said Burch.

The Candidate Fund is a non-partisan Super PAC organized to educate and mobilize Catholics voters to help elect qualified candidates to public office.  The Fund engages in independent expenditures at both the state and federal level.  The Fund is not affiliated and does not coordinate with any candidate or candidates committee.
