CatsOnDeck.com Pet Enclosures Hit Mainstream
Company kicks into high gear after recognition
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Within the past two years, cat owners have not only retained their spending levels for their pets, but are enjoying giving their cats outdoor perks.
Outdoor living is often a safety hazard for domestic cats. A safe temporary containment system enriches cats' lives. More and more pet owners want to have custom-sized, modular, movable enclosures for their pets outside.
The unique enclosure system offered by Cats on Deck is easy to assemble and break down. The system consists of square panels of wire mesh and proprietary clamps that connect them together. These panels are movable and this gives the product something no other cat enclosure can: changeability. Moving from an apartment balcony, a deck, a window, or an RV concrete slab, the product changes to fit the space needed.
In 2010 Cats on Deck started a Facebook campaign and 4,000 fans immediately jumped on. Summer of 2010 the company attended an RV trade show. Then the company started donating kits to shelter and rescue groups, partially as a test market, mostly as goodwill. Then in 2011 Cats on Deck hit mainstream. In 2011 Cat Fancy, the world's most widely read cat magazine, chose the company as a "top pick for charitable product companies." As a sponsor for Dr. Marty Becker, "America's Vet's" national shelter contest $70k giveaway, Cats on Deck orders tipped the mark, claiming the company as a real find in the cat world. Just this past August, ABC's Good Morning America featured Cats on Deck as a unique find for cat lifestyle enrichment.
Introduced in November 2010, the Tower of Meows takes the modular system to the next level, literally. The word vertical is the buzz word in cat products, and Tower of Meows delivers with 25 square feet of play area, while only occupying 7.5 square feet of floor space.
Cats on Deck is gearing up for the busy holiday season. When the $50 billion pet industry market and its pet owners decide what to buy Fido, now they have an inventive and useful choice for Fluffy as well.
Pet industry consultant and cat owner Ericka Basile states, "I have seven cats and I never used to think cats should go outside, due to safety issues. I have made a 180-degree change of mind and now I think cats should go outdoors if in a safe enclosure. The Cats on Deck enclosure system has given me peace of mind that my cats are safe, while at the same time I see them enjoying fresh air and watching the birds."
Incorporated in 2009, Cats on Deck (http://www.CatsOnDeck.com) is a modular pet enclosure system for both indoor and outdoor use. Custom and prefab kits enable pet owners to travel with pets or simply give an at-home safe outdoor environment.
