"We are excited to have Faisal join our team, and are confident that his deep knowledge of the capital markets and relationships on the buy-side will accelerate our already aggressive expansion into the large loan space and increase the pool of potential purchasers. The addition of Faisal to the team will help develop our alternative investment capabilities and at the same time support Chris Milner's ability to evaluate alternative exit strategies and CLOs," said Mr. Orso. "We are looking at a few deals over $500 million now, and expect to bring on a small team over the next few months as the business continues to grow."
Mr. Ashraf joins Cantor from Credit Suisse's Real Estate Finance and Securitization business, where he served as Head of Capital Markets. Before that, he was an Associate at Moody's Investors Service. Mr. Ashraf holds a B.A. from Hofstra University.
