WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) announced today the award of a new contract for the continued operation and management of the Liberty County Jail in Liberty, Texas. The contract was awarded from the Commissioners Court of the County and began October 1st, having a term of three years with a single two-year renewal option. CEC has had the honor of operating the 285-bed secure correctional facility since 2006.

At the Liberty County Jail, CEC will continue to provide operation, management, maintenance, staffing, supervision, training and program services that meet or exceed the standards, regulations and criteria of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
CEC provides medical services to the inmates which encompass medical, dental, and optical treatment. A mental health program has been established to assist inmates who meet certain criteria improve their social skills and behavior.
The facility has participated and sponsored numerous community events which include the annual Relay for Life event for the American Cancer Association, the Dairy Day and Trinity Valley Livestock Show and Auctions, Halloween Safe Zone, Spirit of Sharing Food Drive, and several other efforts which contribute to local organizations in need. Under the direction of the Sheriff, inmates assist with assorted projects doing painting, carpentry, grounds maintenance and housekeeping services at the county offices.
