Celebrando Latinas, Great Escape for Women to Recharge Batteries

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 1000 women are expected at the Celebrando Latinas conference where the Extraordinary Latina Awards will also be presented, on Saturday, August 29, 2015, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, 1 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101.

Women, their friends, sisters, comadres, moms and tías will gather for a one day escape from back to school hecticness and to end summer with recharged batteries. Designed for women and teens to focus on their well-being in a fun and supportive environment, the event is the largest of its kind in the nation. Attendees will enjoy motivational speakers, workshops on healthy lifestyles, beauty, technology and business; mini makeovers, makeup demonstrations, health screenings, cooking demo, interactive and shopping expo and more. Hosted by founder, Fanny Miller, Publisher of El Latino newspaper, the program will feature: Danna Garcia, telenovela actress and singer, and also Alberto Sardiñas, TV and radio personality. The Extraordinary Latinas of the Year Awards will be presented to women in four categories: Impressive Woman, Friend of the Year, Mom of the Year and Extraordinary Teen.

Top experts will educate and inspire in eleven workshops, four by notable San Diegans: Opportunities and Challenges with Maria Johana Guzman and Lic. Pilar Otaiza from Esencia de Mujer, discussing how to handle life's challenges; Healthy Finances with Jacqueline Baquera of Wells Fargo, will talk about developing habits to manage financial resources and take action; How You Look is How You Feel with Lic. Victoria Samaha Bravo, will connect with attendees no matter their situation to demonstrate that what matters most is the willingness to put yourself first, and In the Heels of a Smart Negotiator ™ with Yvette Durazo of the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA), will share skills to negotiate smarter.
