Celebrating 3,000 Customers and Giving $3,000 to Charities

Pretty In Patina Marks One Year in Business and One Year Serving Omaha

Nov 16, 2015, 13:39 ET from Pretty in Patina

OMAHA, Neb., Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- One year ago, when we opened Pretty in Patina in The Old Market, we knew we wanted to offer something different: a "designer vintage" twist on secondhand shopping. We also knew we wanted to carve out an active role in the community. On our store's first anniversary, we'll be celebrating the fact that we've done both.

We're throwing a party to mark all these milestones from our first year in business:

  • We've gained 3,000 new customers from all over the country.  ("We didn't realize being located in the Old Market would bring in so many travelers.  Some of our best customers have been those that stop in and call later hoping to purchase a piece that they can't stop thinking about," said owner Elizabeth Kittell.)
  • We've grown our inventory from 2,000 to 5,000 unique items—including vintage jewelry, designer handbags, and new clothing.
  • We've exhibited our vintage jewelry in cities across the country.
  • Best of all, we've raised more than $3,000 for local charities with special in-store events. That includes a "Share the Love" event in February that raised more than $2,500 for the Nebraska Humane Society.

We hope you'll join us at our store on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 4:30 - 8:30 PM.  We'll have shopping, snacks, cocktails, and a discount of 10% off everything in our store. We'll even be giving away a Louis Vuitton clutch! It's all our way of saying thank you to the community that has welcomed us so generously.
