Center for Employment Opportunities' Edovo Courses Reaches Over 400,000 Incarcerated Learners Across the U.S.

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), in partnership with Edovo, has reached more than 400,000 incarcerated learners through its virtual courses preparing incarcerated individuals for returning to the job market. The most popular course, "Job Seeking with a Criminal Record," developed in collaboration with LinkedIn, is a pre-recorded, 50-minute virtual learning course that is delivered directly to justice-impacted individuals behind bars through tablet technology provided by Edovo.

Taught by Dr. Genevieve Rimer, Vice President of Capacity Building and Technical Assistance at CEO, the 16-module course guides learners through every step of the job search process—from recognizing transferable skills and navigating online search tools to mastering interview strategies.

Since launching on the Edovo platform, the courses have gone live in over 1,545 facilities across 50 states, generating hundreds of thousands of enrollments. Following the success of "Job Seeking with a Criminal Record," CEO has launched four other courses. The most recent, "Building Forward: Work, Technology, and Opportunity After Incarceration" is a new workforce readiness course designed specifically with older adults preparing for reentry.
