Century Auction Group Puts Maryland's 'The Pony Farm' on the Auction Block

MILLERSVILLE, Md., April 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Grosh family of Cumberland, Md., is done standing their ground. For years, Brian and Tammie Grosh, who own a highly controversial property that's uniquely located between the C&O Canal and the Potomac River, have wrestled with defining and retaining rights to their waterfront land, which has been known since the 1850s as "The Pony Farm." Ready to move on, they have decided to sell their property to the highest bidder.

Specifically, the couple has disagreed in the past over property lines with the Federal Government and Maryland State Highway Association.
