CenturyLink announces Aamir Hussain as company's chief technology officer
Hussain to lead product and technology development function
MONROE, La., Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) has named Aamir Hussain executive vice president and chief technology officer. Hussain most recently worked in the Netherlands as Liberty Global's managing director and chief technology officer for Europe.
Hussain and his team will be responsible for design and delivery of next generation products, services and technologies critical to achieving the company's strategic growth priorities. He will report to Glen Post, CenturyLink's chief executive officer and president.

Hussain will play a key leadership role in automating and scaling CenturyLink's strategic products, creating a seamless customer experience, optimizing service delivery and rationalizing company platforms and technologies.
Prior to Liberty Global, Hussain was senior vice president and chief technology officer at Covad Communications. He has held other leadership and technology design roles throughout his career at TELUS, Qwest, BellSouth, Samsung and Motorola.
He graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He also has a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
