CenturyLink, Seattle Seahawks and Cliff Avril to award fans exhibiting goodwill

SEATTLE, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) is partnering with the Seattle Seahawks and defensive end Cliff Avril throughout the month of October to pay special recognition to the best local fans, or 12s, that are going above and beyond in the community.

Fans are encouraged to share their personal stories, or the stories of friends and family, on social media using the hashtag #12s4good for a chance to win autographed memorabilia. High schools in the Pacific Northwest can get involved as well by sharing their #12s4good stories and including the hashtag and the high school's name. At the end of October, one exemplary school will be selected and awarded a special Seahawks pep rally featuring appearances by Blitz, Sea Gals, Blue Thunder and Avril. Schools may be represented by a particular individual or group that demonstrates its commitment to the community.

Avril is also the spokesperson for a CenturyLink marketing campaign that highlights CenturyLink's fiber-enabled 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) broadband service offering in select Seattle areas.
