(Cummins) announced that the Company has received certification for its 6.7L Turbo Diesel from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), meeting the Low-Emission Vehicle III (LEV III) standards. The Company informed that this new standard applies to all vehicles under 14,000 lb GVWR. According to Cummins, its 6.7L Turbo Diesel that powers the Ram Heavy-Duty lineup is the first medium-duty diesel engine in the 8,501lb -14,000 lb GVWR segment to be certified to the new 2015 LEV III standards. Honeywell International Inc. Research Reports
On August 19, 2014, Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell) announced that it has been selected by BW Offshore to remove contaminants from natural gas aboard a new Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel off the coast of Scotland. The Company stated that the vessel which will be leased to Premier Oil, will include its UOP SeparexTM Membrane System to remove carbon dioxide, while Company's UOP guard bed adsorbents will be used to remove mercury and hydrogen sulfide. Honeywell stated that the aim behind removing contaminants is to meet the export and end-user specifications, and to protect downstream equipment. According to the Company, this will be first FPSO in the North Sea to use a membrane-based treatment system. Honeywell informed that the BW Offshore's FPSO, which is scheduled to start in 2017, will be located approximately 125 miles east of Aberdeen, Scotland, in the Catcher oil field. Deere & Company Research Reports
On August 13, 2014, Deere & Company (Deere & Company) reported Q3 FY 2014 (period ended July 31, 2014) financial results with net sales and revenues of $9.5 billion, down 5.1% YoY. During the quarter, the Company's Agriculture and turf sales declined 11.2% YoY to $7.0 billion largely to lower shipment volumes, and the previously announced sales of John Deere Landscapes and John Deere Water. However, Construction and forestry sales improved 19.4% YoY to $1.8 billion mainly as a result of higher shipment volumes and price realization. Net income attributable to Deere & Company came in at $850.7 million or $2.33 per diluted share, compared to $996.5 million or $2.56 per diluted share in Q3 FY 2013. According to 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, the Company was expected to post Q3 FY 2014 EPS of $2.20, while Wall Street analysts expected net sales and revenues of $8.75 billion. For 9M FY 2014 (period ended July 31, 2014) net sales and revenues declined 4.4% YoY to $27.1 billion, while net income attributable to Deere & Company stood at $2.5 billion, down 8.0% YoY.
